Akoostix Inc. is a research and development based company that supports a number of areas related to acoustics including: underwater acoustics; acoustic and seismic target detection, localization and tracking; multi-sensor data fusion; and innovative data display development. Work includes data analysis, algorithm development, algorithm evaluation, component library design and software development.

Though Akoostix Inc. was formed in 2006, all five members of the team have worked together extensively in industry. Here they worked closely together in lead roles to execute numerous large projects. These projects each delivered operational capability and technology demonstrators that along with numerous smaller projects, provided new information or a new capability to DRDC Atlantic.

Our combined experience includes 35 years military experience and almost 40 years of software and system engineering experience with three of the members holding post-graduate degrees related to physics, acoustics and signal processing.

The team prides itself on its ability to design and implement technology that can be efficiently reused to meet a wide variety of requirements. Every member of Akoostix Inc. brings considerable strength to the team, giving us what we claim is the highest capability density in our field.
