Joe Hood – Operational Sonar and Algorithm Expert
Joe is a technical champion whose passion is providing better sonar systems to operators. He brings 15 years of operational sonar experience and ten years of sonar-related research to the team, serving as the company President and Chief Technical Officer.
George Ryan – Expert in System Design
A highly qualified software engineer, George has been working on advanced software/system design projects since 1996. His passion is developing flexible reusable software systems that scale up…and down! He became a full-time member of the Akoostix team in 2008 as Senior Software Architect.
Jason McInnis – Surveillance Software Development Specialist
Jason is an experienced software engineer with more than 12 years commercial sonar software development experience. His career has been dedicated to developing modern underwater surveillance software and coordinating dynamic teams to do the same.
Dave Flogeras – Algorithm Development Specialist
A detail-oriented developer with an engineering background, Dave quickly develops an understanding of algorithms and their intent, then designs the best method for realizing the algorithm in code. He also specializes in developing cross-platform solutions and in embedded development.
Ben Bougher – Research Analyst
With a math and physics background, Ben has a natural interest in complex sonar problems for which he has developed strong intuition. Ben uses this knowledge to support data and algorithm analysis and refinement, ensuring that solutions are mature prior to advanced implementation.
